If you were to hop in a time machine and visit a construction site in 2030, what new technology do you think you’d see? Would workers make use of virtual and augmented reality? Have robots or giant 3D printers become a common sight? Could the digital tools used to design buildings also shape the way we plan and create them?

There are a lot of fun (sometimes silly) things you can design in Tinkercad and 3D print. Some users, though, really appreciate seeing how Tinkercad can be used to create practical designs that solve real challenges. In a recent guide by Mike Warren, you’ll learn how to harness Tinkercad as a tool for making tools.

Our latest Tinkercad Classrooms feature gives teachers a new way to quickly get their students logged in and designing in Tinkercad.

Designed in Tinkercad by artist and educator Corinne Takara, this Día de los Muertos decorated sugar skull (also known as a calavera) was created as part of a student workshop. By copying and tinkering the existing design, students could personalize their calavera to honor a special person in their lives.

We believe that one of the most effective ways to learn software is having interactive lessons and activities baked right into the new user experience. Anyone familiar with Tinkercad’s 3D editor or Circuits editor knows how helpful our beginner activities are, and how quickly they can provide a solid foundation for a successful experience in Tinkercad.
