Have you ever wanted to “wow” an audience with your Tinkercad design in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation? We’ve just recently added the ability to download your design as a GLTF 3D file format that you can drag into your presentation deck.
You can find the GLTF download option in Tinkercad’s export menu (along with existing options for .STL, .OBJ, and .SVG). Once downloaded, you’ll notice that the file name will be appended with “.glb”. This GLB file format is a binary form of glTF that includes everything you need to drag it into your presentation.
Once the file has been dragged into your PowerPoint deck, you can resize and rotate the design to get the perfect look.
You can also head over to the Animations tab in PowerPoint and set your design to fly-in, rotate, and take full advantage of its 3D characteristics.
We’re excited for you to give it a shot. It's a great option for presenting Tinkercad to students, but also for students to present their designs to the class. Maybe you want to pitch a prototype design to an investor, or present a portfolio of your design work. If you find a great use for this new feature and feel like sharing, we’d love for you to reach out to us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
