The Moon Camp Challenge is a fun student competition created by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Airbus Foundation, in partnership with Autodesk. The idea is to engage students in creating and submitting a concept for a lunar habitat.
At Tinkercad, we’ve been busy promoting the competition on our social media channels, as well as the incredible video series created around it and expert webinars. With only one week left in the competition, we thought we’d give it one last push here on the Tinkercad blog. If you’re interested in participating, there’s still time left, and here’s what you need to know.
The Moon Camp Challenge has three separate age brackets with their own unique requirements. There’s a category for students under 13, a category for students age 13-18, and a category for students age 19-25. The common deadline for all three categories is Monday, March 18, 2019 at 4:59 PM CDT.
We’re especially excited about Under 13 category because participants are asked to submit their moon base concept as a Tinkercad design. If you already have a group of students who are comfortable with Tinkercad and enthusiastic about space exploration and the moon, you should have no trouble meeting the submission requirements.
So, strap on those space boots, think like an astronaut, and send in those submissions for the Moon Camp Challenge.
