I had the lucky opportunity to attend and present at this year’s 7th Annual Shanghai Maker Carnival, which took place Oct. 12-14. With Autodesk as a co-sponsor, my colleagues in Shanghai have been participating with a booth for the past 6 years.
Very much like our Maker Faire here in the US, you can find everything from 3D printing, lasercutting, robots, crafts, games, configurable bikes (the kids loved riding around), and more…oh, and of course Tinkercad!
I presented to many teachers and makers in China about instilling the sense of creativity in our young designers. Tinkercad has the perfect ecosystem of 3D design, Circuits, and Codeblocks for anyone to find and flex their creative ideas.
The Tinkercad team in Shanghai held multiple workshops highlighting workflows for creating in Tinkercad’s 3D Design editor, Circuits editor, and new Codeblocks editor. Parents, teachers, students, and children all attended, and I’ve found Tinkercad is increasingly being used in schools in China for STEAM education.
