3D designers rejoice! The new Tinkercad / MyMiniFactory Easter Design Challenge is ON!
Have you ever had a kinder surprise egg? Your challenge is to take the toy within an egg idea and bring it into the 3D printing world. You can design the classic toy within an egg, or take it a step further and design a toy within a toy. Your creation does not have to be related to Easter, but must be 3D printable. So feel free to go wild with what you create!
Once you’ve completed your design in Tinkercad, upload it directly from Tinkercad to MyMiniFactory using the built-in “Upload to MyMiniFactory button”. Don’t forget to tag your creation in the description or title using #TinkercadEaster.
Once your design has been uploaded and approved on MyMiniFactory, make sure you share it on Twitter with the hashtag #TinkercadEaster @MyMiniFactory @Tinkercad.
A panel of judges from MyMiniFactory and Tinkercad will select the winning designs based on originality, printability and element of surprise!
The main prize is a Crane Quad CMYK 3D Printer from M3D + a year’s supply of filament. This printer is able to feed four separate filaments – whether different colors or materials – into one extruder for extra cool 3D printing. It has an 8″-cubed print volume, with heated bed and Duet Maestro board. Runners up will receive Tinkercad hoodies for their efforts.
Submission close April 12th, 2108.
Complete contest details are on the MyMiniFactory site.
Happy tinkering, and good luck!
