On February 16th, the world will be transported into Marvel’s latest universe following the adventures of its superhero; The Black Panther. The world of Wakanda and its characters, who reside in a technologically advanced but isolated kingdom in East Africa, will come to life on the big screen for the first time since their 1966 debut in Marvel Comics.
Autodesk is collaborating with Mbadika to encourage youths to unleash their potential to become ‘Marvel-ous Makers’ (get it?) through projects, curriculum, and videos inspired by the film. Mbadika is a global organization dedicated to diversifying young people engaged in making by harnessing the power of pervasive technologies like micro-electronics, digital fabrication and more. Check out the first video in the series here:
Mbadika Founder, Netia McCray, is producing a mini YouTube Series capturing the process of making artifacts from the film, with tools and resources like Autodesk’s Tinkercad and Instructables.
Future videos in the series will capture the stories of talented makers through the lens of the various themes explored in The Black Panther film. Stay tuned!
