How did you find out about Tinkercad? It was a long while ago, and I was trying to find an easy to use, free 3D design software so I could print something on the school’s 3D printer, and my computer teacher showed it to me. Tinkercad reminded me of the programming language Scratch, so I tried it out, and just like Scratch, its simple, but at the same time lets you make very advanced things.
What is your favorite feature in the Tinkercad editor? If I had to choose, it would be placing the workplane on a slanted surface. It really helped me with adding some details right onto the edge of things. But really, the whole interface is very, VERY easy to use.
Why are you a #TinkerStar? Well, everyone in my class thinks so. My teacher says that I’m the ‘Swiss army knife” of human beings, which really might not be an overstatement. I’ve solved a lot of problems involved with the 3D printer at school, like leveling the build plate and fixing some other errors. I have also helped the school a bit, and recreated the school’s hall pass case for a classroom that didn’t have one.
What is your favorite model you have designed in Tinkercad? I would say that my Spidertank, from World of Warcraft (and, more specifically, Hearthstone) is my favorite, just because of how intricate and accurate I think it is.
Anything else you would like us to know? This is the first time I’ve really gone public with my work (not just to get a free hoodie – though that is a bonus!), and I’m just sort of hoping for some recognition.
