Community Challenge: #UglyChristmasSweater

We’re getting ready for the Ho-Ho-Holidays and we realized our ugliest sweaters have become threadbare!  Get in the spirit with this month’s challenge to create the ugliest sweater with Tinkercad.

Tinkercad is a great design tool, not just for 3D printing, but also sketching and design ideation.  With the 2D (SVG) import tool, the imagery possibilities are boundless.  Also, there are some really great shape-generators made by the community that are perfect for this particular occasion.

I’ve made a couple already, so give it a shot and tag yours with #UglyChristmasSweater when you publish them in the gallery. All of our Peter Penguin t-shirts start out as a Tinkercad model, then we flatten it and create a 2D image to be printed by the pros in full color.

If we see an especially hideous creation by December 14, we’ll have a couple printed up!  Just remember that it will ultimately be 2D, so keep that in mind when you start patterning.

Here’s some more inspiration.  And even though we can only print on the torso of the sweatshirt, do your best worst!
