Northeast #TinkerTour – Sept 20-27 Confirmed!

Hey Everyone!

We’ll be on a little roadshow at the end of September during #MakerFaireWeek – stopping in Boston, Baltimore and New York City to do some meetups and workshops!  Come by and learn some things or just say hi.  Check out our schedule below:

First stop on Sunday, 9/20: Boston.  Our friends at danger/awesome will be hosting  a meetup and workshop to design a 3D printed succulent planter.  You can then use the machines at danger/awesome or a service like 3D Hubs or Shapeways to make it real!  RSVP here.   Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

UPDATE: This event has sold out!

Then it’s off to Baltimore on Tuesday, 9/22, where a boisterous Twitter response demanded we stop by.  Digital Harbor Foundation is an awesome after-school and summer program dedicated to providing youth with a space to make, and hands-on, real-world learning opportunities.  Their “pay-what-you-can” approach ensures that 1st through 12th grade students get a chance to get their hands dirty with real making.

We’ll be walking through some electronics enclosures and exploring Project Ignite – the educator platform for Tinkercad and 123D Circuits.

On Wednesday, 9/23 we arrive in the Big Apple to start our 3D Hubs meetups – beginning with a Paddle Battle!  We’ve teamed up with Ocean State Maker Mill and 3D Hubs to help you design a 3D printable boat at 3D Hubs’ headquarters, but it doesn’t end there… You will also receive a $15 3D Print Voucher to get your Moat Boat printed and race ready for the big day on Sunday – at WORLD MAKER FAIRE!  Get your Paddle Battle tickets here.  Ticket price for this event is $15.00 and includes a $15 3D Hubs print voucher to print your boat as well as drinks and snacks.  Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Thursday, 9/24 is going to be a good one.  We’ve joined forces with 3D Hubs and Lumo Body Tech to offer a 3D Design and Print Workshop to customize your wearable #fitlife at our Autodesk offices in Chelsea.  You’ll earn how to use Tinkercad to design interchangeable 3D printed clasps for the Lumo Lift – your Posture and Activity Coach. You will also receive a $15 voucher to 3D Print your model at 3D Hubs in as little as 48 hours!

Lumo is also offering some Lift devices at a 30% discount for the event ($55)! There are only 10 available for presale, so reserve yours quick – when you get your ticket, you can add a Lift to your cart before checking out.  Get your Lift tickets here.  Ticket price for this event is $15.00 and includes a $15 3D Hubs print voucher to print your clasps, as well as drinks and snacks.

Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday will be full-swing World Maker Faire at the New York Hall of Science in Queens!  Come check out Instructables’ booth.  All we can say is, “chainsaw carving”.

Sunday – we race the 3D printed boats made on Wednesday.  Come by OSMM’s space to see the action.

We’re really looking forward to the trip, it’s been a bit of a scramble to schedule thee meetups, but we’re so excited to be hosting with our rad friends.  Hope to see you at one of them!
