Does this seem familiar: I start to make that perfect piece with Tinkercad. Spend good time perfecting it, finetuning all the little details. Until I realize the whole thing is too small. Or I make that highly needed addition to my previous part. Until I realize the addition is slightly off from its right place.
Baby likes to use scale every week.
But wait! Where’s the scale tool? Where’s the rotate tool? Where’s the move tool? What, none of them?
I’m sure you had these questions too. The best part of starting work at Tinkercad: I could take this issue straight to the HQ. And so I did.
“Unfortunately its not possible at the moment”, was the response. That simply wont do! I don’t care if it’s hard or impossible. I want my move, scale and rotate tools –and there’s a mob standing with me on this.
If the “current technology” can’t do it, we simply need a new technology. So we’ve been working really really hard: revampping everything under the hood and everything above it, to make scaling possible. And so much more.
Our most enthusiastic users –known as the Circle– have already seen whats coming. They’ve given us great feedback and tested out the upcoming move, scale and rotate tools –among many others
If you want to join the Circle and test out the upcoming goodies, apply by tweeting Pauliina or mailing our team links to the Tinkercad designs you’ve made. At the mean time, we keep working harder than Santa’s elves and taking 3D design tools to new heights.
